    Deblector is Dead

    Sorry for all the people using it. At the moment I have no more time to mantain Deblector. I cannot release it as an Open Source project because the code is still messy. May be this will change in the future, but at the moment no promises.

    Do you still have a download link for the latest Deblector binaries?

    Though you won't be maintaining it anymore, your site is still where everyplace links to if you want to download Deblector. I'm sure people (myself included) will continue to love and use Deblector, if they can find binaries.

    Thanks.

    Why don't you set up a codeplex project for deblector, so that others can build on your work and complete it?
    Thank you, Matthias

    @Mattias
    I would like to, but the code is actually a mess... I dont like it. I doubt codeplex will accept it.
    @Remi
    The binary link should still work, if not I will check asap.

    Came to this site after the link to the binaries on Codeplex didn't work.

    I haven't used Deblector yet, but it looks promising to me. Even if your code is a mess, please try to set up a project on Codeplex. If they don't accept it, I suggest you try Sourceforge or at least make the source available on your blog.

    Don't be ashame that you produced messy code. It's ok because you are able to realize this fact on your own and the result is a nice tool! Just set up a disclaimer on the download page and let your code flow through the magic hands of others - I'm sure they will make a tidy shining thing out of it ;-)

    That's really bad lucky... I would have loved to use your tool and only start downloading it 2 weeks after your removed the binary from the web-site.. :(

    I would be happy to hear about it if you found this project adoptive parents or made the binaries available again at least.. :)

    Found a crash within the built-in ComboBox; really hoped to find out the true cause using Deblector (and patch up using reflection). But it's gone!...

    It doesn't matter if it's a mess or not... and even if you really don't want to release the source, why not at least leave the binary?...

    From the CodePlex site: "Microsoft does not control, review, revise, endorse or distribute the third party projects on this site." Trust me, they'll accept it :).

    I personally don't care that the code is a mess, and I'd love to see this go up on CodePlex. I know that the code for personal projects doesn't always live up to the same standards we set for our professional projects, but you shouldn't let that stop you from putting it out there. It's a really great add-in, and I'd like to see it run in Reflector 5.0.

    Hi,

    Same to me - I don't care if the code is messy. I think if you start a codeplex project many developers (like me) would be very happy. So the project development can be continued perhaps
    in a bigger team.

    Cheers,
    Markus

    Well,
    I decided to put the stuff "as is" on codeplex. Hope to have it published tomorrow.
    I will be available to help coders to start up compiling and managing the sources.

    Hi Felice,

    That is really SAD news! Open Source would have been more preferable.
